About Me

Stoned Age Gamer

So, you might wonder what got me into retro gaming and cannabis. Well, some reasons might be a little more obvious than others. I got into gaming at a very young age. My first game console was an Atari 2600 4 Switch. My first computer was a Commodore 64, which I still have today! I remember as a kid learning MS-DOS in order to work the stupid Commodore so I could play Buck Rogers. On my fifth birthday, I was given one of the best game consoles of all time: the original NES.

From that point forward, I was completely hooked! My father was a very generous man and would purchase new games for me all the time. I would stay up for weeks, fixated on a game and playing it until I would beat it. To this day, one of the greatest accomplishments of my childhood was beating MegaMan 1-6. From what I can remember, MegaMan 2 was hard as hell! Fucking Heat Man’s level was damn near impossible. (I still have a hard time beating that fucking level!) Growing up I was blessed with a lot of consoles: SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega CD, Sega 32X, Turbografx 16, Atari Jaguar 64, 3DO, etc. Each console had its own charm and its own list of games that are still fun as hell. Turbo had Bonks, Jaguar had Aliens Vs. Predator, 3DO had an amazing version of Street Fighter (and for their time some pretty funny softcore porn games :D). Each console was a look into an alternate reality for me. It still provides that kind of escape when I put in a good title I fully submerge myself in it.

I started collecting games about 5 years ago when my children were born. I wanted them to experience the same games that my wife and I grew up playing and that we both loved. From that point, I wanted to not only have them play these games but also to teach them the history of gaming. These years of research have made me something of a historian of video games.

Video games made me who I am today! If it was not for games, I would never have gotten into computers and became a very successful web developer and graphic designer.

I was introduced to cannabis in high school, I remember getting high for the first time: I was out skating with my friends and someone asked for a lighter. For some reason, I had one on me. I was invited to a smoke-out session, and from that point my high school years were pretty much spent being high.

After high school I was consumed by the media and was turned away from the magical drug. It wasn’t until my father was dying that I started researching treatments for him and I was I reintroduced to cannabis as a palliative medicine. I was lucky enough to meet my real good lifelong friend Eddy Funxta, who not only took me under his wing and showed me everything I know today about cannabis, but even introduced me to the whole community. I went to conventions, photo shoots, screenings, met famous growers, geneticists, musicians, actors, and comedians. Since then, I have grown my reach and have many, many contacts in the industry. My love and knowledge of the plant has grown and will continue to grow as I continue to I surround myself with amazing people and friends.

Stoned Age Gamer is a combination of two of my favorite things in the world (besides my family, friends and fans of course). Video games and cannabis! Let’s face it: nothing goes together better than getting high and getting down on some games.

Stoned Age Gamer (or SAG) I feature some of the best games from our childhood and lots of weed, edibles, concentrates, etc.... This is where video game and cannabis cultures collide!
